Before/After the Veil film

In recent years, I've come to a profound realisation about the differences between our true selves and the images we project, especially evident in the world of social media. Behind the filters lies a reality often far removed from our authentic selves. Having worked on numerous shoots, I've witnessed the transformation from raw to retouched, where imperfections are airbrushed away and standards of beauty are reshaped. Yet, the pursuit of perfection doesn’t necessarily make us younger or more attractive, for true beauty is subjective. This dichotomy inspired me to create a video project, featuring India in her raw, natural essence alongside her polished, styled self. It's a visual journey unveiling the veil of societal expectations, revealing that real beauty goes beyond what society expects. Whether rocking her curls or going sleek, India radiates beauty in her true form, challenging us to embrace our authenticity and celebrate our uniqueness.
