Less is More

MULTI - TASKING

Are you tired of constantly being bombarded with new skincare and beauty products, only to be left feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what you actually need? As someone who has worked in the beauty industry for many years and even been a top product salesperson for a large company, I can tell you that many brands are simply trying to get you to consume more than you actually need.

In fact, when it comes to skincare, using too many products can actually harm your skin by causing irritation, dryness, and even acne breakouts. That's why I believe in a simpler skincare routine, one that focuses on just a few key products that are effective and easy to maintain.

For me, my routine includes just four essential products: a hyaluronic acid serum, a vitamin C serum, a moisturiser with SPF 50, and a Barbara Sturm facial scrub for exfoliation. I also love Charlotte Tilbury's Multi Miracle Glow, which can be used as a cleanser, mask, and balm.

And when it comes to makeup, less is often more. I recommend using products that can double up, such as CT’s Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 50, which both protects and primes the skin.

RMS Beauty Lip2cheek is a multitasking cream specially formulated for your lips and cheeks. It’s also a great way to save time and money. And for a luminous glow, try Chanel’s Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick, which can be used on the face, lips, and eyes.

I often see clients who have an excess of beauty products that they don't necessarily need. It's important to keep in mind that products have a limited shelf life, so it's best not to get too caught up in the hype of the latest and greatest product. Instead, try to finish what you already have before purchasing anything new. This will ensure that you're using products that are still effective and safe to use.

When it comes to hair, I like New Wash's hair cleanser, (some people love and some people hate it) which eliminates the need for conditioner. And for hair protection, I recommend products like Ouai's Heat Protection Spray and leave-in conditioner, when using shampoo, which not only protect but also add shine and moisture to your hair.

The beauty industry has been booming for years, but now more than ever, people are becoming more conscious about what they are putting on their skin and hair. This is the perfect time to embrace a more conscious beauty routine, one that focuses on quality over quantity and sustainability over excess. While some product companies may not agree with this approach, it's important to prioritise what's best for ourselves and the environment. So, let's continue our journey towards a more conscious beauty way and make a positive impact on our planet.

By simplifying your routine and focusing on just a few key products, you can save time, money, and most importantly, take better care of your skin, hair, and overall well-being.
